Stigma around mental health in the workplace
#4
(07-24-2020, 12:45 PM)EH1991 Wrote: As there is still stigma surrounding mental health, if an employee takes some time off work due to their psychological health, is there any return to work policies or organisations in place that considers their psychological as well as their emotional challenges that will aid in how much input the employee has regarding their return to work process?

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has some guidance for individuals https://www.cipd.co.uk/careers/career-guidance/back-to-work-support

ACAS also has some guidance https://www.acas.org.uk/absence-from-work/returning-to-work-after-absence

Individual workplaces will also have policies that should inform the transition back to work which should be available on your intranet/staff handbook.

I hope that is helpful!
